What is The S3x Talk?

Hi! Welcome to The S3x Talk. My name is Caitlin, and I've been running this sex education/art and design/fun project since 2020. I've long struggled to describe what exactly The S3x Talk is, but I think this blurb gives a pretty good idea:

Hi! I’m Caitlin— a queer, trans, mixed Chinese femme— and I run The S3x Talk. The S3x Talk is where sex education, creativity, and social justice meet. QTBIPOC pleasure and an intersectional framework are at the core of what I make, and I’m a big fan of stickers, paper, risograph, and lettering. Every The S3x Talk item is designed by me, and almost all are handmade by me in Portland, OR. How did this come to be and what has it been the last 4 years?

I have always been interested in sex education, communication, and public health. During the first COVID lockdown, I discovered the sex positive community on Instagram. It was full of sex educators, sex workers, intimacy experts, counselors, art therapists and more. I realized that this was a place for me to be, so I made my own account, knowing full well that I would make mistakes and fumble as I grew. Over the years, The S3x Talk has taken many forms. Sometimes I'm making educational infographics, sometimes focusing more on workshops, sometimes concentrating on my art! More than anything, The S3x Talk has become a space for community support and addressing social issues. I am so grateful to anyone who has supported my work over the years, and I'm glad to have you here.
